Toby, I had a Supertrapp installed last year by a mechanic. He spent about 30 minutes doing the mechanical removal and installation of the new exhaust. He then spent between 2 - 3 hours retuning the bike and tweeking it after rejeting the carb. I think this was time spread out over a couple of day. He has a gas tank setup so he does not have to keep pulling the tank on and off for the initial tweeking. Once it was close to the way he wanted it, he went through some tweeking with actual road testing.

I'm just recounting the story so that you can gauge with your level of expertise how long it might take you do do the work. I usually multiply by 10. Obviously I don't work on my bike much myself so I did not consider this something I wanted to do.

The added performance has been great. But I still think the bike is too light when you start going above 70mph (which I don't do often at all), but at least now the bike seems to have enough power at that speed. Actually the bike was tuned for mid-range performance, not the high end.
